I think it would be a cool idea to have a thread for successful and unsuccessful forum transactions in the For Sale section unless there is something already in place and I am just missing it.
Since I have been here I have had several good transactions with some fellow Jeepers and think this would be a cool way of letting everyone know who the good guys and gals are. Plus, I believe credit is due where credit is deserved. Mods is there anyway to set up a sticky or add to someones rep for something like this?

Thanks Southern Girl.

I like to think we can trust each other here especially being Jeepers and on a Jeep forum but there is always that 1 person. I just think it would be a cool little idea and take the edge off of buying something from someone if we had some sort of way to see their past transaction history.

lots of forums do something similar, previously I was on nitroforumz.com and they had a "points" system that would show up with your name in your avitar section/info, anyone could give points but the moderators were responsible for dishing out the points members could give to others, they were kind of like "high fives". you could do something similar on here, yet have it be where if a moderator receives good feedback on a sale from a member, then the moderator gives the seller feedback rating on their avitar name, kind of like the post counter. the higher the number the more successfull "good" transactions. kind of like on eBay.

I love this idea! I know some forums have a hrlpfulness level too, which can go negative.

I would be all for it! It just would help build trust between members doing transactions on here. Especially if you buy something high dollar! We don't have the protection as say someone on eBay would. This would just be a trust system so to speak.

Absolutely love this idea, on a diesel forum I'm a member on, they have a "Thanks" rating that rides below your avatar, that as you help people solve some of their issues, they can "thank" you to give you the credit due. Helps to weed out the "I think this is how you fix it guys from the ones that'll send you in the right direction.

I was on two Charger forums before selling mine. Both sites used something called iTrader which allowed the buyer & the seller rate the transaction - either positive or negative. In addition to the rating, one could also leave a comment of less than 80 characters. The iTrader rating appears next to the member's avatar which links to all previous transactions. It is a very good method of showing how a person handles their sales & trades.
