so i got this new laptop that has vista on it and now i can't post smileys or even click on them to post them in my replies or anything????? also unable to update like changes in a shopping cart stuff like that?? C'mon vista pros help a fish out,uhh i would've posted a thumbs up there if only i could and a sad face there ......well ya get the picture ummm well kinda ??? help ??? thanks

 

I have VISTA and don't have any issues.... except that I am a tard when it comes to computers.

Are you using quick reply or advanced?

 

What version of vista (home basic, premium, etc)?

You also say a new laptop, have you tried to update vista to make sure you
have the latest and greatest.

 

I assume you're using Internet Explorer for your web browser. Use Google Chrome. Problems solved. If you don't like the Chrome setup, use Mozilla Firefox. They beat the pants off of IE.

 

Running Vista Ultimate and its fine here.

Try resetting your web browser (Internet Explorer 7)

Control Panel > Internet Options or Network & Internet then Internet Options > Advanced Tab then select "Reset"

You might have a security setting too high.

 

I have to say I acually had issues with my Vista on my laptop. DESKTOP a whole nother story.

BUT with the smileys .. you just gotta know what your typing. It may also be a "eff"/screw up with the computer. MY LAPTOP had bad ram, crashed after buying it brand new, three weeks in. NOW being fixed for problems. IF ONLY WWINDOWS COULD GO BACK TO VISTA!
