Default Anyone done Imogene?

Me an the family are heading to Telluride for the Blues and Brews Festival in September. We're planning on going to Ouray and then over Imogene Pass to Telluride.

Does anyone have any helpful info or suggestions for the trip? First time over the pass, just wondering if there is anything special to know or look out for.

Thanks in advance!

No one, eh?! Well, I gotta tell you, that you should defenitely put it on your list of to-do's then. It was an awesome ride from Ouray over the top to Telluride. Much to see with all the old mines up in there. Great trail to ride too. Nothing extreme, but a lot of fun to drive it... you'll need a little clearance but nothing extraordinary. The family loved it! A few stream crossings, large mud puddles, some rock negotiating/crawling, shelf driving... plus you get to top out at 13,114... so you end up WAY above the tree line, probably 1500' or so over it.

Yeah, I've run it.

I love the whole Ouray, Silverton, Telluride area.

Spectacular views, absolutely beautiful!

Most of the trails there are easy. Imogene is no different. Your Rubi will have no trouble, but you will love the views!

Old pics from there, when the H3 was brand new.

*Edit - My bad should have read closer..I agree with your write up though.

Yeap, fun ride, some rocks to clear, but nothing too technical. Also you can check out Ophir pass. That's a fun one too, heads towards Silverton.

Blue and Brews is a blast! You'll enjoy it, plus the shows at the bars in the evening are awesome!

Check out the bluegrass festival too! That's an awesome time.
