Default best route to Sedona from Los Angeles.

We are vacationing in Sedona next month and I was wondering which route is best:
1 15 to the 40 and down to the 89 and Sedona
2 10 to the 60 to the 71, 89 through Prescott and either the 89A, or the 17 to 179
Yahoo maps only has a 15 minute difference between each route.
I'm traveling with the kids so I was wondering which route would have more stuff to see/do along the way. Thanks

I would go through Prescott and take 89A to Sedona. This route will take you through Jerome, which is a very neat place to explore.

When you go to Sedona, take schnebly road to get there.. It is South of Flagstaff on the 17 and is by far the best way to get to Sedona.. Its a reallly easy 4x4 road- There is an exit off the 17 called schnebly and you just exit and take a dirt road for ~10miles, then your on the "trail" (not really a trail a 2wd car can do it) its a really nice drive and if your camping there are a ton of spots right there..

Have fun!
