Default Campgrounds between Colorado Springs and Denver ?

Hey Four Corners Area !!! I'm looking for a campground for an upcoming vacation to Colorado. We'll be visiting friends in Colorado Springs as well as the Denver area so would like to stay somewhere in between. I thought there used to be a KOA in the Monument area but it's been a few years and I don't see it listed any longer. Are there any recommended campgrounds between the Springs and Denver ?

Thanks in advance !!!
HG

I think the KOA campground you are referring to is this one:

It's just up the road about 15 minutes from Monument but south of Castle Rock and Denver. I live 2 exits south of Monument across from the Air Force Academy and it's the only one I remember seeing other than RV sites.

if you're going to pay to camp, why not support the state parks at the same time...

Not a bad idea. From what I remember (cause it's been 10 years) Chatfield and Roxborough are nice parks. I just need one that is RV friendly since we're RV camping with the family (wife and two young boys). Thanks for the info guys

Here's the rig we'll be traveling to Colorado in... (Wish I could bring the Rubi too !)
