Whats going on CO? I just joined the forum. Looks like I just missed the last meet and great. Do you guys do these pretty regularly? I'm over on the western slope but would love to come over for a M/G sometime.

This is off the subject, but I need some help. I took my JK to have an emissions test done in Parker. The place told me they couldn't test it because the tires are too big. They are only 315/70 R17's. Has anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone know where I could take it to have the test done as it is. They emissions place suggested I get different tires. Yeah, right! Thanks for any help.

I've heard this can be a problem. I haven't had to get the Jeep tested yet, but I have a friend that got his Ram on 315s tested. I think he went to the station on Colorado between county line and 470. Otherwise you'll have to borrow a set of smaller wheels. Next time, I think there's a pattern you can hit with the Rapid Screen vans on onramps that will take care of it without going to a testing station. I think that needs to be done well in advance of registration though.

emissions in colorado will only test 34" and under, measured dia, so if you think you're close ahve them measure. I went to the one at Colorado and 470, they didn't look too hard. Also High Country Performance rents tires out for this reason.. kind of a rip though....

I have a set of stock Rubicon wheels and tires in my basement you can use if you need them to get through emissions. PM me and we can set something up.

Always wondered if you could just let some air out of a 315 until it measures 34" high...or do they measure across?
