A good friend of mine for his birthday he wants to go to the Grand Canyon. I wanted to see if there is a good trail that leads into the canyon and if so where the best place to stay to get to the trail.

Also if anyone is interested in leading a trail like this we are looking the weekend of March 10th.

All trails in the national park are closed to off road travel. There are plenty of trails just outside the park but nothing that drops you into the canyon. these outside public trails do sometimes close during the winter months due to mud. If you want to get to the bottom of the canyon you have to hike or take mule. There are lodges in the park as well as just outside the park around Williams. hope this helps
