Hey all,

I posted this in another forum but thought it might be more appropriate here. Is the interior temps of a hardtop JK tolerable in the AZ summer?

Does it get much hotter than any other vehicle in the summer? I know in my last vehicle, which was a dark blue mustang the interior was very hot... but got to comfertable levels with the AC running in about 2-3 minutes. Does the JK get comfortable in about this time as well?

I heard some people referencing their head would bake from the hard top radiating heat and this scares me a little from getting a Jeep but I really want one! lol

 

I have no issues with the heat and the hardtop. The A/C does a fine job IMO. I've even taken the front panels off and blasted the A/C when I'm in the mood!

 

I only use the AC when I am going to a wedding or have a 1st date in the Jeep. It has worked good on those occasions, although i have not had the Jeep during July and August yet, I plan on going topless all summer.

 

I've had plenty of other model year Jeeps with Hard Tops but have only had my JK for 2 months. Let me tell you, it's always comfortable for me but.....the wife always has a different opinion. And one that usually wins!
