Moab

We are leaving tomorrow morning around 0600 hrs, should be in MOAB by 1500 hrs or 3:00 Pm. If anyone needs to reach me my cell number is 307-840-2968. If I can be any assistance to anyone let me know. Papabear

Not a problem, There is a Storm system moving through Colorado on Sunday. Also the long range forcast for MOAB is Rain on the 1st and second otherwise it is suppose to be nice. For those of you coming from the midwest and east coast, if Vail or Eisenhower have snow you can drop down to US 50 and come accross Colorado that way, usually this road is good in the winter, it will bring you just south of Grand Junction Colorado. Everyone have a great trip, will try to post on the forum. Papabear

Papa bear , how is the trip going ? We only make it to Great Falls and its been hard going since we left Red Deer. I just seen that I-15 south of us is closed Man I was really hoping for clear roads. I almost Jack-knifed the rig about 30min after we left and it didn't get any better the rest of the way
.....
Once again everyone have a safe trip.

UPDATE: We arrived in MOAB at about 530 pm, the tow bar broke 20 miles from home, fixed it and continued on our Journey. Great day to travel great roads, blue sky. 40 Miles from MOAB the motorhome showed transmission temp warning, never assume that the DEALER DID EVERYTHING, GOT THAT FIXED!!!!!
Sunday March 29, 2009: Unwinterized Motorhome, filled full of water. Hot water Heater not working. Went into town to get on Internet, on for very very short time internet went out as well as TV at McStiff's. Noticed that the lower passenger side control arm was missing a bolt, nothing open on sunday. Wind blowing about 40 MPH gusts up to 60 MPH. Took dogs out to dewater, snowing, bummer could have stayed in Wyoming for this. Still have not hit any trails yet.
Monday March 30, 2009: Fixed water heater, filled MOtorhome up with more water, wife is happy to get a shower, cool outside a little breezy. Jeep goes into MOAB OutPost to get fixed at 115 pm today, might finally get to hit the trails in the afternoon.
We are staying at Gosse Island BLM campground 1.5 mile up 128 at the bridge until Friday.
