right now i'm 50-50 on going. i have rent to pay, and won't be able to get there until sat. morning. F**k i can get up at 5:30 to get there before 8:30 and if ride on sunday i down to sleep in the jeep. there are some fire roads a few miles past the road to solders pass. i think you can camp there. 602-418-9067. hit me up. if it could be beer, food, gas and a fire there nothing that would stop me from going.

That's total B.S. that they wait till last minute. Anyway you will most likley be sitting around in some meeting while others discuss issues that don't even pertain to you. Good choice you made!

I think Roger (Rustler) was coordinating but he must have gotten busy. First of all, I would love to make this trip but already have some plans that I cant change. Next time for sure! Anyway, Rustler posted up on the VJC for a trip and it looks like there are a few guys that want to go. They are kinda sitting in the dark waiting to make some solid plans. Maybe you can post up over there and put the two groups together? There is a GREAT guy named SedonaRick over there that you really should try to hook up with. He is a fantastic host and will gladly show you around to all of the trails. He knows the area like the back of his hand and offered to lead the VJC group. He led a group of us (including Rustler) a couple of months ago and is one hell of a guy. Anyway, I just wanted to mention that it looks like there is a communication gap between the 2 boards... Hope you guys have a great time. Be sure to play on the cracks near the end of Broken Arrow. It is a killer place to pose for pics! Also, the last staircase just after that is a blast to turn around and go back up. I look forward to the pics!

FOR SOME REASON - I can't post on VJC. I sent a note to Admin, but can't log in - could you please repeat the meeting place etc for me? Thanks - Dave

Hmm 4 wheeling Sunday eh? How about:

a) Sedona to Prescott via Jerome, then out Senator Highway to Walker to Crown King?

The road up from Walker is pretty easy, but it would be informational to see what the fire did in the Bradshaw Mtns. Depending on time, etc, there are several mini-trips out to 'ghost towns' in the Bradshaws.

At the least, it's on the way back to Phoenix - the long way for sure, but in that direction.

Ideas?
