The wife and I are going to do a little drive on Saturday up around the Jemez area, I not calling it a trail ride because it will be forest service roads so it is very unlikely that four wheel drive will be required.

We will be starting at Cochiti Lake and then proceeding up Cannon Del Norte (according to MapSource but Google Maps calls it something else) to Hwy 4. Next some pavement to NF-10 which will take us down through the town of Ponderosa and connect back to Hwy 4, after which it is down to Hwy 550 and back home.

All in all we are just looking for a nice day out of town. Hopefully we will leave from Rio Rancho area about 9 am, stop somewhere shady and nice for lunch, and back home by about 3 or 4 pm. So if anyone is interested in going let me know and we can formalize times and meeting places.

Just in case anyone changes their minds we will meet at the McDonald's at I 25 & HWY 550, BERNALILLO, NM 87004 at 9am and head out from there.

 

You guys missed out, it was a fun trip with lots of great views.
