Not sure where to stay or wine. But there are 2 short really nice trail rides. Broken Arrow, and Soldiers pass. There might be a lot of pink jeep tours to be careful, and remember if you leave your jeep you will need a RED ROCK PASS to park and wonder around. You can buy almost anywhere. You can google both trails to get directions. if not just post and ill write you up some.

Here is a link to some pics we did in july HERE

Have fun man!

If you camp, Oak Creek Canyon is a very nice place to stay (no showers, IIRC). We stopped at the visitor center for Oak Creek Canyon (up on top of the canyon before descending into it--a must see view) and asked for a few trails to drive. What they provided us with was information on dirt roads. Nice drives with gorgeous scenery, but nothing technical. Which was okay since this was our first experience with 4WD. LOL. We drove Schnebly Hill (take this one!), out to Sycamore Canyon, and Dry Creek Road. Here is a picture from that last one ...

We also stopped at the Sedona visitor center and asked about trails, hoping for something a little more technical. They had ZERO help. They acted as if there was no four wheeling at all there, even though there are the aforementioned pink Jeeps all over town. So, if you want something more technical, be certain to get the information before you get there.

p.s.--Go to the Moab visitor center (which we did later during the same trip) and ask for information on Jeep trails and they'll provide you a ton, including step-by-step directions for several trails, ranked easy to pretty difficult. They also sell several guides and maps.

When your in Sedona the person to go see is Nena at Sedona Jeep School she has all the trails and a great lady and very helpful. I am not sure if shes on this forum or the other. But any how she will hook you up with trail maps and give you advice.

You had me confused?

Not many winerys in Sedona... Plenty of herb though...

I do hope you're the "Artsy Fartsy" type or fancy wearing a wire pyramid on your head, sitting indian style in the dirt, being told you are sitting in a "Vortex" by some guy wearing a Star Trek uniform and Birkenstocks, eating a Granola bar...

Just kidding. Great place to go chill - you'll enjoy. Have fun in AZ and dont forget your papers!!!!
