Default Traveling to Ouray- Places to Stay?

The girlfriend and I are heading out to CO next week and we're looking for a good place to stay in Ouray. Nothing too expensive but definitely charming.

Yes, we're driving the JK out there to check out some of the scenery I see everyone posting. First trip to CO!!

Any help would be appreciated!

Can't comment on any hotels, but it might do some good to check out VRBO dot COM and look for a small, inexpensive vacation home in the area... I have done this a time or two here in Colorado and found it worth the money. What you might spend extra on lodging, you save in the meals because you can cook and prepare in the privacy of your own getaway. Not sure if that's what your after (Hotels and resturants tend to piss me off).

If your camping, the last time I drove through Ouray there was a clothing optional hot springs with a campground next to it. That may not be charming though...

Terrific! That's where we're staying! It looked really nice and had great reviews on every site we checked.

We just made it into CO tonight (still traveling, stopped in Limon to sleep). Our first real stop is the Ute Casino tomorrow, then to Black Bear on Monday.

Thanks!

With this being your virgin voyage to Colorado, I can't wait to hear your thoughts once you get home. But for now - enjoy!

Default Hey Verbal...

Any trip reports??

We have traveled to that area for the past 2 years now (RV/Jeep) so knew nothing of the local hotels but loved the area and trails.

Any pics?
