So does anyone from the Salt Lake or surrounding areas want to join a couple of jeepers for a "Wheeling Wednesday" trail ride. I've been going out with a couple friends on Wednesdays (Krech, from the post above made it out with us yesterday) I'm sure theres a few other people on this forum that might already be going out once a week or would want to go out if they can find someone to wheel with during a weekday. Not everyone can go on the weekends because of work or some other arrangements but like I said I've been going out on Wednesday early afternoons and just wanted to throw the invite out there if anyone wants to join. We'll be going out again next Wednesday. We try to leave the Sandy area around 2 but next Wednesday were going to try to leave a little earlier depending on what time my buddy gets off work. Were going to shoot to meet up between noon to 2 and pick a different trail everytime we go out. Yesterday we went up the Mineral Basin trail up American Fork Canyon as far as we could go until we hit some snow.

Heres some pics from yesterday

I could hit some of those also. I am going to go up American Fork tomorrow. Did you try to go over the top to Midway? Did you try Forrest Lake?

No, we didn't try the Midway route. But I'd like to sometime. I still have the window sticker the guard shack gave me stuck to my window I can give to you if you want to save the $6.00 entrance fee into the canyon. Its good for 3 days. I live right off the 123rd So Exit from I-15. I know $6 isnt a lot but it could buy you lunch or 20 miles worth of gas.

Sounds like fun, but Wednesdays are the absolute worst for me--I'm always swamped at work.

I could usually swing Thursday or Friday pretty easily.

I can usually swing Fridays as well as Wednesdays. Although I already have plans this Friday, (tomorrow) Next Friday I'll be in Bear Lake, the Friday after that is the 4th of July weekend and I'll be out of town in Jackson Hole but the Friday after that I could go wheeling with you somewhere. PM me once it gets closer to that date and lets go wheeling.

We've got a cabin at Bear Lake, so we're up there every few weeks working on the yard and cleaning. I've heard there's some pretty trails up there--nothing challenging, but probably worth checking out. Have you wheeled up there?

Never wheeled up there yet. My buddy has a cabin there as well were going to stay in and he said he'll show us some jeeping spots. Its just going to be a short trip this time. Going up Thursday afternoon then coming back early Saturday morning so I'll really only have one full day. If you happen to be up there the same time and want to go jeeping that Friday let me know and I can run with you.

Sounds great. Bear in mind that I've been driving a lifted KJ for about 8 years now, and I've never had my JK off the pavement. So I'm going to be a little cautious for a little while. OK, maybe the first 10 minutes.

I just got my lift and tires, so I'm looking forward to trying them out. I'll be at Bear Lake tomorrow, but just for a couple of meetings during the day. I think we might be there for 4th of July weekend.

As far as Fridays go, just give me a few days' notice and I'm there!
