Houston? There's no mountain there.

Default Just to introduce myself...

I am planning on moving to Salt Lake City Area in the next few months from Austin, Texas. I haven't gone out on any trails lately. (I did go to Palo Duro Jeep Jamboree in May of 2009 and 2011.) I am looking forward to being in the mountains and partaking in many activities that are available.

My 2008 Unlimited Rubicon is mostly in stock configuration, except some AEV parts like front bumper with a winch and lights, a skid plate, corner guards, and wheels. I would like to get a lift kit and go up to 35s or 37s. I haven't decided on which yet... I also would like to get a rear bumper and a tire carrier.

By the way, which dealerships in SLC area that are off-road friendly do you recommend? I would appreciate this information very much since i have a lifetime warranty on my Rubicon.

Welcome to all who is new here/to Utah. I'm not sure who is mod friendly. I had problems once with LHM in Provo on my '07. But, no other experiences. There is another 4x4 forum in Utah that most people use. It isn't brand specific like this one. You might find the answer to your question there. It is RME4x4.

Have family in Layton and Bountiful. Hunted up above Kamas for many years. Have hiked and wheeled most of those roads and trails in Yellow Pine, Red Pine, and Cedar Hollow. There used to be road that we called the "Mine road" that was some pretty hairy wheeling, especially with some rain or snow. They closed it for a few years and I haven't been back hunting for about a decade. I use to wheel the hell out of my YJ, in fact remember doing a trail fix on a broken leaf spring. Love Utah, the people, the aspens, cedars, mountains, well pretty much all of it lol.

Try Doug Smith in American Fork for service. Look up All 4 Fun and Moab Outfitters as places for installations.
