Default Why a Four Corners Staging Area?

I'm just curious as to why the staging areas are broken down like this. If Nevada has it's own staging area (Silver State) I'm sure there's enough wheelers in each of the four corners states to have one of their own.

I used to live in Phoenix and there were a lot of different offroading groups there. And whenever I peek at the four corners staging area I have to filter all the different areas to see what's going on in just AZ. I mean Utah's got plenty wheeling with Moab and the trails in between there and Salt Lake. Not to mention St. George. And Colorado is a HUGE offroading conglomerate. Not too sure about NM but I know wheeling's big there too. Anyhow yeah I think it's just funny that Nevada has it's own staging area whereas HUGE offroading states like AZ, CO and UT (even NM) don't. Not to say we don't have enough wheeling here to justify our own staging area (if anything there should be two, one for the Reno area and one for the Vegas area. In fact Reno could be combined with NorCal because Reno is so close to the Tahoe area) but that just seems like a really crowded group to have all in one place.

If we had a Colorado only staging area I think it would be more active. I don't check this section often enough because due to the states covered, its just too big to be effective.

We're not going to have a staging area for each individual state...I'll toss around some ideas with wayoflife and see what we come up with, but don't expect 4 new forums for the 4 corners...ain't happening.

Well, thats a bit of a bummer and narrow minded just just come out and say "ain't happening..

But if the Phoenix, Flagstaff, Oury, ect, ect. area jeepers just has their own little thread going on like the "Tucson Crew BS say anything thread" then wouldn't that take care of the local areas and make searching simple??? And it doesn't take long to look through everything. Who knows you might even find something very interesting else whare.....

No offense guy - but I've been around here long enough and know wayoflife well enough that I feel I can make that kind of a call. Despite your insult, I did take this up with wayoflife a couple of weeks ago and ultimately we agreed that we like things the way they are.

And, yes, as you pointed out - having individual threads for the areas does really take care of this need overall..which is why we won't be changing anything.

Just to point out there are groups available on this site, one of them is a Denver JK group but it doesn't get much pub... just sayin.

Cool your jets JackMac. No insultes were intended. Just your choice of a few words. There are other places to take care of local happening its just that it would be nice to have it all right here...
I take care of my little web site and can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be to manage this one! So my hat is offf the the managers of this site..
