I don't think "cheap" is a good description when looking for D rings...

Not something you want to be chincy about as was said.
Having said that try farm supply or
hxxp://www.globalindustrial.com/g/material-handling/chains-ropes-straps-connectors/connectors/peerless-peer-lift-galvanized-anchor-shackles

I've a few of the latter (not on tabs and have had no issues).

Have you ever heard of the term "only as strong as the weakest link"? Don't chance it with inferior quality recovery equipment. Try Crosby D-rings and shackles, they are one of the industry leaders in rigging equipment.

and if you are interested in why they are considered the worlds best in rigging:

X2 ^^^^^^

After the first time you see a D ring or cable end embed itself into the drivers seat , your thought process on picking your recovery gear will change! I have not heard of Crosby , I always look for Milspec components as most of them have been put thru the ringer multiple times. Just my $.02..... Stay safe!

I've beaten the piss out of these and they have held up fine... $10.99 from ARB.

Why do people always want to cheap out on these

They will spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on bumpers, lifts, winches, etc but want the cheapest POS shackle.

I honestly didn't care about the price they were the first ones that came up on Q-tec when I ordered them, I saw ARB and I trust that name since they make a decent amount of quality products and knew they most likely wouldn't be "shit" and I'm glad because my "shit" has pulled plenty of people out including myself. If I had to do it over again I'd get Crosby's but since these work fine and haven't failed me yet I guess I'll stick with ARB's "shit" for a little while longer.

Do you mean d rings that you can bolt to your bumper? I have the rugged ridge bumper with the bolt on d rings and they seem pretty tough and they sell them for like $50. If you just want d-rings then buy crosby they are made in the us and they are all marked with their weight limits.
