Want a weeks worth of Jeeping in Colorado?
IF you havent already heard about the week long event held in the Rocky Mountains -- I highly recomend it!
Could there possibly be a better way to spend a weeks vacation that camping with a few hundred of your closest friends and Jeeping the Rocky Mountains to boot?
"2013 will be MHJC's 47th year of providing this event to the off-road community, with dates for the event being July 28th - August 4th, and the event will be hosted by Lake County, Colorado near the town of Leadville. Mile-Hi Jeep Club is an active, nonprofit organization with approximately 200 vehicle members who practice and promote responsible and safe 4-wheeling. We are dedicated to helping maintain existing 4-wheel drive roads through our Adopt-A-Road program and by supporting the Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO) and the Blue Ribbon Coalition. In addition, MHJC and its members support Stay The Trail and TreadLightly! so future generations of 4-wheeling enthusiasts may enjoy what we have today."

This will be My 3rd year attending this event -- and I cant even tell you how much fun it is. We have nightly events under the big tent -- door prizes and raffel drawings, games for the kids - "drinks" for the adults, camp fires, ice cream socials, dinners --- its an absolute blast. If camping isnt your thing, you can always stay at a hotel in town.
I know there are more and more Jeep Events that seem to come up every year -- Easter Jeep Safari, Jeep Herritage Festival, Jeep Beach ect.. but All 4 Fun is where its at!

I had planned to go to Colorado during that weekend but found out our rare family reunion is going on during that time. I am planning the trip in the second or third week of Aug. What are the trails near Leadville like. I usually go to Ouray.
