Interference on VHF Ham Band
I have a Yaesu FT400 dual band mounted in my 2022 Gladiator. Power is direct from battery to the radio which is mounted under the rear seat. Antenna is a compactenna mounted on the bed rail on driver's side. Problem is choppy static on the VHF band at 146.97 Mhz when the truck exceeds 30 mph. Slow down and it goes away and is not influenced by engine speed...the truck has to be moving. The interference is only on that specific frequency and only in FM mode (not digital). I have tried ferrite beads on both the antenna feed and power lines with no improvement. Any ideas?
