It's brand new and just like the 550 but without the integrated camera. I've heard the screen on it is 20-25% brighter that the other Oregon models. Also, how is the reception with the Oregon now that the firmware has been upgraded several times?

I've got the 550 and don't find the screen much of an issue. Brighter would be nice, but so far it's been fine. Only problem I've had with reception was when I was caching in downtown Toronto, down an alley between 2 large office buildings.

I just picked up the Oregon 200. Loaded it with topo maps. It's love, the screen is a little dim but it is totally viewable. In March Garmin is coming out with what there calling the birds eye view. For 30 bucks you can download google earth. That will be a real nice feature.

I'm loving the 450T so far, very easy to use and the screen looks great. Tons of cool features as well.

Anyone know of a good mapping software to use so I could see all of the legal forest roads in a state?

Great machine have had mine for over a year and it works great. I added a screen protector and that helps alittle when out in the bright sun.
