Default App for offroad trails?

I was wondering if anyone knows of any offroading apps for the Droid that can map a trail.....and save it for next time so that I have something to go by and I can stop getting lost...can anyone help me? or is this something where I need to buy a GPS??

I've bought EveryTrail Pro a while back for Android, but haven't had the chance to use it on a trail yet. Will be using it this weekend and will let you know how good it is. But all aside, your best bet is a dedicated GPS because there are times when you're on a trail that may or may not have cell coverage in the area, and I've noticed that with my Verizon Wireless, when I'm out of 3G or service coverage, the map disappears and it's just an arrow floating in a white background. I'd recommend the Garmin nuvi 500 - it has both on-road and off-road usage with contours.

Yes, atleast with the Garmin, it comes with MapSource which is a program that'll allow you to import .gpx files to and from the GPS. I downloaded several .gpx files showing trails in Colorado and imported these into the Garmin and it points out the locations. There are some limitations though (and I'm not quite certain if it's a device limitation of something I did).

I'll definitely post up on how the EveryTrail Pro works out. I just have to remember to run the app when we start our ride

I used my GPS to save all of the beginnings and ends of trails in CO. There are a lot of FSRs and unknown roads all over the mountains here.
