Default another tire thread

Sorry for beating a dead horse but I've searched all over this and other jeeps sites and cant really find a good answer. I'll start by saying i have a 2012 JKU I use for a work, being my daughter free taxi and hunting and fishing. I live in Northern Wisconsin where we've been known to get a lot of snow. Like I mentioned above I hunt and fish a lot so I go through old logging roads, dirt roads, mud, hills some rocks and frozen lakes. My question is what tire would be good for all of that?? I'm a baller on budget so Im trying to save a few bucks but not a complete cheap a$$. I've already purchased a Teraflex performance leveling kit and some Mickey Thompson Sidebiter II 17s. Im looking for a AT or even a MT tire in a 33 or 34 size range that will cover all the mentioned above but mostly good on snow and ice and not take out of my 4 yr old daughters candy/toy fund . Can anyone help me out????

I'm a huge fan of the Goodyear Duratrac. The only drawback is on a 17" you can't get them E rated in the larger sizes, but I've had them before, and they are what I'll get when I replace the stockers I have now. Best tire I have ever owned.

Duratracs all the way if you're talking snow(they're snowflake rated) and for an AT tire they perform nice in all conditions and look good. I use those come winter up in Canada and love them the last 3 winters.... I run MTR's in summer cause I'm at 37" and they were one of the lightest tires out there... If Duratracs came in 37's I'd use them all year round. Their weakest area is the sidewall just be extra careful. My buddy ran the Coopers as mentioned above wasn't crazy about them in winter.... Good luck

I get myself quite a ways from home when I go hunting and fishing. Buy a dedicated mud tire and have that extra piece of mind that if you run into a wet, soupy, muddy logging trail, you will get back home. You wont see a noticeable difference in gas mileage (who cares anyways) or road noise.

Or go all terrains and buy a winch if you don't have one, with enough straps and shackles to find a tree somewhere.
