Anybody ever been through the Pigeon River Country State Forest in MI?
105,000+ acres. Tons of two tracks, some good hill climbs, sand and mud. Great camping (both rustic and semi-modern), elk and other wild life abound.
I spent a lot of time up there growing up, even lived in the back of my truck for a month or better.
We went up in the Jeep this weekend and had a great time (as always). Would love to go with a few others (we had to skip a couple trails since we didn't have anyone to rescue us in case we got stuck).
Here's a few pictures from the cell phone. Some Bull Elk, some Cow Elk with a Calf, and just a random skyline shot we thought was interesting.

Oh, and here's an old DNR map. The highlighted routes are places we went in a TJ back in 2005. If you know how to index surf, there's a lot of pictures from that trip. They are all pretty large though. That's why I'm only posting a link to this one instead of embedding the image.
