Default Build plan.. your comments/suggestions?

Here's the current plan:

35x12.50-17 Goodyear Duratracs or Nitto Mud Grapplers

Stock wheels, painted black, with 1.25" spacers.

4.88 gears, Aussie Locker up front. not sure about rear diff?

Rough Country 3.5" lift with shocks

Maybe a winch too

What do you think about 4.88s with 35s and a 6 speed? I see 80-90% road use, about half highway. I don't rock crawl, I run trails, hills, and mud.

Overall build comments/suggestions?

Im planning in 4.88's with my six speed. I struggled for quite a while between 4.88 and 5.13.
What year is your low rider?

Nice. You going with s&s? Or is screamin eagle making a 124" now? I was a HD tech for 5 years but I've been out of the business for a few years now. HD is doing a lot they weren't doing 3 or 4 years ago. I was around for the 100th so I pumped out quite a few of those black and silver bikes.

I went w/ 5.13's but don't highway drive as much as you. I think you'll like the 4.88's just fine.

I'm coming from 3.21 gears with my 6 speed. Think the 4.88s will be comparable to them with the 35s? Or close to what 4.10s would have been, if I had those?

i am going 5:38's next weekend . i don't have a six speed though. i can say that i have not really heard many people say they geared up to much. i hear i wish i had of went bigger alot more. 5.13 would be my recomendation with 35's even with a stick.

I guess this chart is what confuses things for me:

Going from my 3.21 and ~32 inch tire to 4.88 and ~35 inch tire is like a 900 rpm jump. And 4.88 is outside the "good" daily driver area too...

Is the chart not as accurate as purported?

according to the chart jeep must have put in 4.88's in my jeep. so i would say that the chart is not accurate in my opinion. i have 4.10s till next weekend and my rpms match the 4.88's with 37's.

I have 4.88 in my jk and 35s w/ 6spd.

70mph = 2850rpm

Take that info and make your decision.
