Columbus OH questions
I am considering a move to the Columbus area and would be working near E. Broad and Yearling. I would like to live within 20 min or so from work but be in the best direction from town to go wheeling and hiking on the weekends or even during the week after work.
What part of town do you recommend? I am looking for a house with a large yard for my dog to be able to run around.
Also, where in the S. E side of OH do you guys go for wheeling and camping?
Thanks!

If you are looking at that side of town you have a few options in my opinion. Gahanna is a nice area. Lots of updating over the last 15 years. Good schools and pretty close to everything. Pickerington is a wonderful community as well. Probably a little better than Gahanna. The school levies havent been doing very well but overall a wonderful little town. If you stretch your drive time to the full 20 min. and want more of a "Good old farm town" Canal Winchester is worth looking at. This would be the best location for Jeepin as well. Some good areas about 45 from there. Personally I would stay away from Reynoldsburg and Pataskala. In my opinion, Reynoldsburg is a little "inner city" for me and Pataskala isn't developed enough. Also, think about TRAFFIC! You don't want to be on rt 70 east at rush hour! Nor do you want to be on I670 near the airport at rush hour. Best drive at that time would be toward ssouth/east toward Canal Winchester.
Good Luck!
Good Luck!

If you haven't found a place yet, I agree with the above post.
I used to live in Canal Winchester and now I live in Pickerington. The traffic is not that bad, especially if you are working at Broad and Yearling.
