Gear/Trail Bag Help
Hey guys,
So I finally went out and bought a bag to put various items in that I/we may need on the trail, question is, besides a few of the obvious items, what should I carry in the bag? Is there a quintessential list somewhere? (that would be awesome) What do you guys carry? Beside the 3-4 most comon wrench sizes, some hose pieces/fittings, torx keys, flashlight, gloves, grease and oil, what else should be in there?
Thanks for any suggestions you guys have.

I usually carry a tool bag with the most used stuff, pretty much what you have listed,,, wrenches, vise grips, various pliers, screw drivers, zip ties, duct tape, spray lube (liquid wrench), hammer, knife, couple of shop rags, gloves, small multimeter, flash light, small roll of electrical wire, crimp ends, crimping tool, elec. tape, torx and allen wrenches, tire plug kit. etc.....
I also wheel with my recovery gear,,, straps, tree saver, more gloves,etc....
For around here, it's probably all you would ever need. And if you are with a group, there is always others with tools too!
But if I ever get out to Moab or someplace like that far away, I would expand on all that and even try to have some spare parts with me. (at least have in camp)!

I agree with all the above. If you are wheeling with a group (which you should always do), someone will likely have what you need. Always carry what you know you will need. For example if you need wrenches to disconnect your swaybar or attach your trail flag.
Also, you should always carry a first aid kit. In my experience you can't work on a vehicle without bleeding.
First Aid Kit
Fire Extinguisher
Water
Small zip-lock bags
Magnetic parts pan
Headlamp style flashlight

Carry tools you know how to use. If you can't fix something there's no point in bringing the parts or tools along - unless you think someone else can fix it for you. On the trail is no place to learn or 'hope' that you fixed it right (or well enough to limp home).
I've never attached a thread before so I hope this works. Here is one from before on this topic with some good advise.

I guess should add that there isn't anyone that carries a tool bag in the group. We started a club (9 guys strong), and no one carries one, so I decided to get one going before something really bad happens.
