My advice would be the same as what others said on your other thread. I have done the notching and using a screwdriver and the extractor route and had luck but with many 4 letter words. Never tried welding a nut on there but that sounds like a real good idea. I would start with the welding route and if it fails start drilling. Good luck

May need to have you come look at this if you are free... I just broke the extractor in the shaft that is still in the block. LOL!
