I would try torquing them down to 25ft/lbs (double check the specs) first, then move on to the next. I too had a leaky rear diff cover and the only thing that worked was a lube locker gasket.

Might as well take it off, clean the gears, re fill with synthetic, order some diff covers re seal and replace...

Thats what I would do

Use the excuse to take them off, inspect the gears, buy some heavy duty covers, and refill with some good synthetic lube....
If you have never taken them off, now would be the time to do it, before the summer season gets here.....
only takes a few minutes to do it, good maint. practice anyway...

I kept fighting leaks, taking it off and re-RTVing. If you're offroading a bunch, I think the lubelocker gaskets are the way to go. They seem to be more tolerant of movement.

I think everyone pretty much nailed the fix. Take it off and lube or seal it yourself. It won't take you long.

When you retorque don't forget to tighten the bolts in a cross cross pattern like when you put on a wheel.

Yeah.. brake cleaner works great. If you get the non flammable type make sure you dry it off really well. Otherwise it can degrade the lube. Afterall, it is a solvent. The flammable stuff evaporates quicker.
