I'm really interested in putting a set of 4:88 gears in the JK. But there is no place around me I would trust. Does anybody know of a trust worthy shop in northwest Illinois to get this done?
Thanks,

I'm not quite ready for gears but I have had same issue. I can't find someone to do gears to save my life. I find it odd that I can live in the 3rd largest metro area in the country and cant get a regrear. I just might take it to 4WD in indy to do it.

Where is this guy? My wifes sister lives in Schererville, so I can hang out there. If you don't mind me asking, what does he charge for a gear install?
Thanks,

I don,t Know where in Illinois you are located but there are two 4wheel drive shops in the Quad City area, Sport Truck Specialties has been here for many years.

I spoke to a tech at Chicago Driveline and found out that they do alot of gears. I was looking for info about driveshafts but I asked a ton of questions and they seem very knowledgable. He told me all techs are certified in different specialties, and they have a guy that only does axles and gears I believe. No clue on price, when I asked he talked in circles.
