Re-gear in Cincinnati
Does anyone know of a good shop in the greater cinci area to re-gear my jeep ? Iv'e found one or two but prices for labor very wildly, I live on west side almost in Indiana , so shops in eastern Indiana OK too.
thanks i tried Hilltop he gave me a qoute for $1125 out the door gears and all with new carrier , but after I pionted out that jk's take different gears than a TJ the price jumped to $2200 , I know jk gears in 4.11 are a little more but not a grand more , I'll check out the other place and see what they say, on a side note did you graduate from harrison , what year? also looks like your a firefighter where at , my brother is a cincinnati firefighter at lunkin airport
yeah , I thought so too , on his "working " paper I saw 2
$250.00 for each gear set , I found JK gears on line for the same or alittle more , and the carrier from northridge was only $75.00 more than his price for "tj" just can't see where the extra $1000 comes in , I'm a few years older than you I graduated in '83

Well, talk to Scott at sunfire offroad and see what he says. I ordered my lift for my jeep but trying to decide what tire size I wanna go with 35/37. I'll prolly have hilltop do my lift (I know the owner pretty well) and see what he quotes me on gears.
