Default tattoos

Warlock said he was interested in a tattoo and asked about my experience in another thread...so, I thought I would throw this out there in case anyone is interested. I am a professional tattoo artist. Been doing it for 12 years. My work is top notch. If you click the link in my signature you can see samples of my work. If anyone has any JK parts they don't need anymore and has been considering a tattoo then shoot me a pm. Trades are always welcome and in most cases I can make the drive to you rather than you having to come to the shop here in NW Indiana. Non JK related trades are welcome as well. Thanks

lmao, demand for tattoos decreased? maybe it cause i'm in the navy, but tens of thousands of dollars are spent every pay day from this base alone in the local tatoo shops.

personally I go to Racine Wisconsin to Studio Tattoo, I've had work done by the owner, Justin and one of his guys, Itty, the local people charge too much for not so great work. Chicago tattoo shops are def not my thing.

mr natural, your sig doesn't exist, otherwise I would totally check your stuff out and see if you might be worth a visit on my way to visiting some family in Marion. and I was definitely about to make a tattoo show off thread soon as I get my battery charger in the mail for my camera and my latest bit of work heals up fully.

as for the bartering thing, trading skills for services is as old as dirt

I can vouch for the navy guys. Everytime we pulled into port the guys were looking for the nearest tattoo studio. Many navy guys get a tattoo every place they visit as a remembrance of where they have traveled. RiSK, it sounds like you are well on your way to some sleeves.

Believe me, bussiness is good. I don't make 80k a year twiddling my thumbs...its not a whole lot...but not bad for drawing on people and only working 37 hours a week. And yes, bartering is as old as dirt. Its something I try to do as much as I can. I'm pretty tight when it comes to money. I'm much happier to keep my money and do a little work to get what I want. I don't know why my signature didn't show up. It usually does. Maybe because I'm on the blackberry and the mobile site. I don't know. The tattoo show off thread sounds like a good idea though. I'm covered...but that's probably obvious since it is what I do. I will post from the computer today so the link will be there. Sorry about that.

sleeves? not allowable in the navy, and although I greatly desire some baddass work on my forearms I haven't yet come up with an idea for that.

I checked out your site doug (your sig worked in the pm for some reason) and you do do some good work. what do you normally charge? per hour, or just kind of by the seat of your pants?

I'll make that thread, post the shitty cam phone pics I have, and see what you think

Don't believe everything they tell you in Boot Camp and A school. I remember the days when they told us about all the rules. Wait until you get out in the fleet. Plenty of guys have sleeves. The salty older guys have them, not all by any means, but they are there!

Not disagreeing with ya db but I know the Air Force cracked down a few years back about tats. I can't remember off the top of my head but some dumb shit like only 10% of total area can be covered in ink....I never gave a shit as long as my guys were hard workers.

as far as I'm aware falcon is right, they are cracking down on it. trying to make a better image for the navy. the whole drunken swearing tattooed ruffians isn't cool to the big wigs anymore.

the rule is that if it's on your fore arms you've got to be able to cover it with your hands.

however I know for a fact that they never ask, and the only time you'll ever have an issue with it is if medical becomes involved for some reason(infection or whatever). then you get boned.
