"how much is a gear"

"Probably another grand"

I've found it's in how I word it. If I "need" it, it's approved. If I "want" it, suck it up. I need a snorkel.

That's great!

I received an e-mail from EVO Sat 8/28 saying my gussets will ship early next week, so I would guess (hope) I get them by 9/3.....would be willing to drive and meet up w/ you to wheel and weld as I have a 3 day labor day weekend - would it be advisable to pull my front wheels and wire wheel the areas that will be welded to clean them up as best as possible in advance? I hope parts come in in time..........

that woud help out and don't forget a can of rustolem or such to paint it after it cools. a bucket of water and rags will keep them plenty cool. i was worried with mine but no issues with my ball joints as of yet. i welded mine on in jan so it should have shown by now if it was going to.

i will be getting busy soon and my last weekend will most likely be labor day weekend till thanksgiving. i am going to camp and wheel this weekend at either the badlands or interlake down by evansville in. i can bring up the welder to the camp grounds and weld them on in the evening if you like. my 110 mig will be fine for the job. let me know, i will start a post on wheeling this weekend soon.
Just FYI I had my EVO C gussets installed today by a local shop (Precision Pulse in Amboy IN) by one of the owners. I cleaned up the areas with a wire wheel on my drill at home, and pulled my front tires off and the sway bar links once I got there. He spent about two hours actually welding during my 4 hours there, but I am extremely happywith the job he did. He used a MIG, and my job was to keep the wet towels coming. He was very careful to not heat up the ball joints too much. Got home and 1/2 rattle can gloss black later - all done!!!
I also got my plastic rivets in the mail yesterday, so my right rear fender is not floppy anymore.
THANK YOU CODY for offering to help out with the welding, I really appreciate it. Hope to see you again soon
