I'm from the Detroit area too. Not much here except for Bundy Hill in Jerome and dunes and parks up north. I wish there was something local too. Will see if other Michiganders can respond with suggestions.

Try The Mounds in Mt.Morris. It's a DNR operated 4 wheeling facility near Flint. Decent wheeling and if you like mud you will be very happy there!
