I work part time at a gunshop and we're an authorized Vortex dealer. Their high end glass is VERY nice. I'd put it above Leupold, but slightly below US Optics and S&B.

I'm gonna agree on an Eotech (also a dealer) or ACOG for an M4 clone. Gonna throw Aimpoint in there as well, as a personal preference over Eotech.
