need help with ar15/ar10

Primeraly ill use it for hunting coyote and deer . I like the .243 round it shoots really well but like the range on the .308.
im not really a long range shooter but the knock down is good.
i usually hike out a good ways to to hunt so light is a priority.

Decided on buying a dpms .223 ar15 . Them im going to go with a dpms upper in 6.8 spc for hunting. thanks for all the responses

For under $1000 you should be able to find a Stag or Rock River in 6.8SPC. When you look to .243WIN or .308 WIN you're now talking AR-10 lowers and about 50% more $$$ and fewer manufacturers.

Both my boys and I use the 6.8 and with the 110gr Sierra Pro Hunter it is HIGHLY effective.

The turkey was at 75 yards by a 12 year old and the deer was 150 yards by a 9 year old

You can also build from a "kit" and save yourself a couple hundred dollars.
