Default Springfield XD(m)

My next firearm purchase is going to be a XD(m), 9mm with an OD green frame. I am wondering if anyone has an xd(m) and how they like it. I've shot the standard xd in 40 and was impressed. I also know the differences between the xd and (m) model. Just looking for some input, thanks!

I was at a range once shooting the glock and the RO came up with a XD and said "when you are ready to upgrade get one of these" and handed me a .40cal ready to go. I blew a few rounds down range and the shots were spot on, but the gun just fit my hand funny. I think they are great guns... just not for me at this point.

If you don't have need for the girp fitment peices - I personally find there is little difference. In fact, i am more accurate with my XD than my XDM - both in 9mm...

So would it be smarter to go with a 5" tactical nodel than the xdm. I noticed that the price difference isn't a whole lot with gov't pricing. I found a nice used od green 5" tac model with night sites and grip tape for 579. Found brand new xdm's for around 520-570 brand new

i've been looking into the new XDM myself. so let me know if you get one and like it. I'm still undecided on the size I want.

Personally I have 4 guns of my own that are all conceal carry: glock 27, taurus millenium pro 45, s&w snub 38 and a ruger lcp. I have a glock 23 and a glock 17. I'm looking for a gun to shoot the crap out of but I'm so sick of black handguns. I like the look of the od green frame and the xdm felt awesome in my hands. I found a killer deal out of state but was too late to set it up with an ffl, $511. I was just looking for some people who have shot them and to get their input. I also like the 19+1 combo.

Personally I dont see any difference in the M, but then again. We arent allowed to have them in Canada. Springfield isnt shipping to Canada because they arent pinning the magazines at 10 to meet our gay laws. O well, I bought myself a 5in 9mm two days ago though. In freaking love with it! Either way, I think you are going to be impressed.

I'm holding out on getting an XD'm until it comes out in .45. Then, I'll have one OD green and black

Img glad I'm not the only one who thinks the od green and black looks bad a$$! The od and stainless just doesn't look right to me. I'll post some pics when I get it, who knows when that will be.
