Makes one hell of a 1000 yard bench rest scope. Hell I might even be able to see the target with my bad shooting eye.

I am right handed and just next to legally blind in my shooting eye so years ago I switched and started shooting left handed. So I got the bright idea I would get me a left hand rifle. So I bought a Mark V Weatherby 30-06 and put a Redfield 4X12 Ultimate Illuminator scope on it. I ignored the fact I had cut my index or shooting finger off with a Skill Saw.
Anyway the first time I shot the gun I went up to a place called Cow Mountain, paced off a 100 yards, laid down a blanket, and built me a rest. I did all of this at the start of a fire trail that was blocked off with a cable to restrict vehicles. I didn’t pay any attention how dusty it was under where the muzzle of my rifle was. Anyway I held the rifle with just one hand and rather loosely. When I touched off my first round I was immediately covered with dust, my round hit the cable that I couldn’t see in the scope making a hell of a racket and because I used my middle finger as my trigger finger the bolt made perfect contact with the stub of my index finger. At first I would have swore the gun blew up and took part of my hand with it. I tell you I think more than one drop of piss ran down my leg that day.

Did you notice the EP rating on that optic? That is absolutely horrendous. I would imagine that the twilight factor would be even worse. Meaning that if you aren't shooting with amazing sun cover you are going to be up a creek. I would imagine with an EP that low you would have a hard time calling your shot if there is too much cloud cover.

I have no doubt that this scope would make a fine benchrest optic, but there is no way I would have ever wanted it on one of my rifles while I was in the military. To me if you are going to tag something as "Tactical" then it needs to be able to operate in the field under battle conditions. Not to mention the $4000 price tag.

Edit: To give you an idea, my Trijicon 5-20x50 that I have been using competitively, for quite some time on my Kleingunther, has an EP of 10-2.5mm and my hunting optic by Trijicon is 16.3-5.6mm.

Default Strictly Bench Rest

That scope is strictly for 600 to 1000 yard bench rest. The high power is for if the lighting condition permit they can see their bullet holes.
If you want a sniper scope go US Optics.
