Default Umarex?

Anyone own one of these 22LR replicas from umarex? At $450 I'm thinking about picking one up.

With it being 22LR and me having 6 bricks of it I think it might be fun to shoot.

A guy in our squad had one at a steel challenge match last summer. It looked cool and ran great all day. I didnt have a chance to ask him if it was ammo sensitive (preferred a particular brand of ammo).

Good luck!

Are you looking at the MP5 or the 416? I haven't had a chance to mess with either but from what I understand the MP5 takes heavily from the GSG design. If that is the case then it can be a pain to take apart and put back together (detailed clean). You will find that Umarex also makes the S&W M&P 22 pistol and the Colt M4-22. Yes, Umarex owns Walther but do not take that as them being one in the same. They are made at two different plants, under two different sets of management.

I am looking at the MP5, and I actually read the opposite earlier. They said they took nothing from the gsg design and it was easy to take apart and clean.

As for training CQC I use VFC/Umarex HK416 GBB, its softair, great for practice even indoor. Look, weight and function is almost same.

They also have mp5 and many other options.
Training muscle memory is great. My timing improved. Great for winter inhouse.

Like I said, heard that with no actual hands on experience with it.

They are a lot of fun. Umarex makes airsoft stuff, but I have the Walther p22 pistol, and it is a great gun. Take down is clumsy but its accurate and fun to shoot.

I have shot the MP5 version and it is a blast! It's a 22, so cheap ammo but limited utility. With ammo prices what they are, you can plink away with one of these all afternoon and not cringe at the $ you are blowing through!
