Default What Glock?

I am in the market for a home defense weapon and have narrowed my search down to 3 weapons, all Glocks, the 17, 21, or 22 (wish I could have ALL 3!). My question is which one would you guys/ girls suggest for my first hand gun? Also, what is a fair price each weapon, I'm interested in Gen. 4 with night sites. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Glock 17 is my vote. Don't need to worry about size if it's for home defense, and the extra capacity is always a nice thing to have!

I have a 21 w/ a light that I keep in the house and a 36 that I carry. I like the 21 or 30 for, but that's just me.

If you need 16+1 rounds for home protection you have a bigger problem. jk jk. Although I hate Glocks I would say the 21.

I have the 22 and love it. All the cops around here have switched to it. If you are going to carry go with the smaller one

For home get a shot gun. If you want a Glock for a first handgun then a Glock 22 would be nice. Try Springfield XD 45 or 9mm also.

I agree. For home defense shotgun is the way to go. Just the sound of racking a round will scare most burglars off

I've only shot handguns a few times but have you shot the Glocks? I was a miserable shot with a Glock but spot on with a S&W .357. I found it odd.

Same here. I am not the best shot with a handgun but not the worst. I grew up shooting a Smith and Wesson .357 Combat mag (Learn a revolver first) and became a pretty good shot but took me for ever to pass th PD qualifactions with a Glock. for home defense Get a good 12 Gauge but if you have to go Glock get a mid to full size caliber is really up to you
