Cheaper than dirt is good but I use Ammo Engine. Seems like the engine always steers you towards Wideners.com. I use this to buy ammo for my m4. I still have not found a place that sells it cheaper than Walmart for 9mm, 45 acp, or .380.

I had a Springfield XD40 and they are great pistols, but I bought the Compact version when I should have bought the 3" Sub-Compact for concealed carry. For a person with a small frame, I think the XD's are just too bulky. I took the advice of some of my coworkers and bought a Ruger LC9 for everyday carrying and it works great. With a slim belt holster it fits perfect into the curve of my back. I can wear t-shirts and you can't tell I'm carrying.

I carry a concealed SIG 229 every day for 16 + hours sometimes(job related). The 229 is big and heavy but completely concealable. The holster matters more than the weapon size. Try the comp-tac Minotaur Hybrid available at comp-tac.com. By far the most comfortable I have found. I use the appendix carry.
