Default 1950 CJ3A - Complete Restoration

My brother just got a 1950 CJ3A into his shop for a complete resto. MAN would I love to have this Jeep! Unfortunately I don't have the positive cash flow for a project of this magnitude.

The only non stock item on this are the seats. Customer is looking to have a "brand new" factory Jeep when everything is done. I'm really looking forward to watching and helping out with this project.

You can follow the build on his site but updates aren't super frequent lol

I completely forgot about this thread! The Jeep is actually going through final assembly right now for a car show this weekend. I will try and get some finished pics and upload them this weekend. It's looking really good. The colour isn't what I would have chosen but the owner likes it and that's all that matters lol.

Some pics from the shop today. Apologies for the crappy cell phone quality.

Is the gas tank right under the driver's seat?

It's not unusual for old CJs, especially 2As and 3As, to be painted John Deere green and yellow. After all, Willys marketed them to farmers through the '50s. In the '60s, AMC started trying to tap the recreational market.
