axles?
That really depends on the CJ. The most common setup would be an AMC 20 in the back, and a Dana 30 in the front. Some early 70s had a Dana 44 rear, as did some 1986 models. There were some other axles in the earlier Jeeps as well. CJs ran a narrow track axle up through 1981, and sometime in 82 or 83 they switched to a wider track. The gearing could be anything from 2.72 to 4:11. All of this assumes that whatever is under that Jeep is stock, but there's no guarantee of that.
