Anyone know anything about how to set up a hand throttle on the CJ or maybe if someone has a kit out for this.

 

There's a kit that uses $3 worth of bicycle parts in a $40 bag. Basically a gear shift lever with cable that mounts on your stick. Cable runs through the firewall to your carb throttle linkage and becomes a repeater of your accelerator pedal. I had this set-up for a while until I converted the CJ to fuel injection. Now it has an electronic hand trottle by Offroad Engineering.

Sorry I can't remember who was marketing the cable variety but they are out there.

Its a 72 with a 304 and 3spd. Dana 30 front and 44 rear.

Do you have an aftermarket FI kit installed? If so, Hesco in Alabama sells an electronic one that ties in to the idle air control motor.
