Default Help!!!!! Fresh air duct removed

In the process of installing my mojave heater, I completely removed my fresh air intake from the top cowl of my 79 cj. I would rather not have buckets of water pouring in on me when it rains, so I would like some suggestions on correcting this problem. Can you purchase the air box that mounts to the cowl without the duct work? My heater is now mounted to the firewall where the old heater was, so the "complete" duct would be in the way. I have seen some guys that used the cowl opening for a snorkle opening. Any info would be much appreciated.

Find a piece of galvanized that covers the hole, goop the edges and screw it down.
