Default Not sure on year alittle help?

My college roomate an I recently got our hands on what we think is a CJ of some sort. It is definatly a willys. We are not sure on a year, so im asking for alittle guidance on what year it may be or how we might find out.

Its in pretty good shape being that it has been setting exposed to the elements for who knows how long. Its going to be alot of work but it should be a fun project. Thanks for the help.

Got any pics of the outside? Is there a dash plaque that says the date or anything? Outside pics of it shouldn't take long to narrow down what it is. It is most likely a CJ3-B.

Here is some engine info

Default Outside pics.

The problem with the vin/year plate is someone tried to restore it before we got ahold of it. They decided that bondo was a total replacement for welding in new sheet metal so most of those type things are gone. I have a few more pictures of the exterior but nothing substancial. Let me know what you want and ill take them. Thanks !!

Looks like an early 50's vintage willys wagon. Check out the attached page for some good pointers on nailing down a year. Good luck.

I've just started getting into these old wagons. Thinking of getting one.

I see that it has a "Super Hurricane" motor in it. The Super Hurricane was first introduced in the wagons in 1954. And, *I think*, they used that motor into the early '60's. (But, as I said, I just starting to get into these . . . )

Could end up looking like this one, 1950 Willys Overland Station Wagon
Mines only a 2WD, 4-banger though.

Tell us what the dash panel looks like, a pic is even better.
We can get you the info you wanted with a couple more pics.
The ridged roof and square rear panels narrow the date down some.
I know this is an old post (Mid 2008), but can help you if still needed.
