I don't think I've ever seen one of these? I don't know it's actually pulling off "sophisticated and rugged," like Caitlin says in her post,. But it's definitely pretty interesting! Ever seen one of these?

 

This makes me think about how much I'd love to have an old mail truck... I remember you used to be able to pick them up for nothing.

 

That is the original jeepster made for a few years in the late 40's. 2 wheel drive and shared the front end with the trucks and wagons. In the late 60's they revived the name and basic shape that is more like the VW thing and it came with 4wd. Nice simple cool vehicles. I have never seen one with right hand drive.
