It's on a K5 Blazer frame and has one ton axles. Also has hydro steering and brakes, 550 h/p sbc, auto, d300 twin stick. It's getting there !

What are some of the choices for upgrading the Willy's Truck frames? I know JP Magazine used a TJ frame with rear stretch and I thought about that but like the idea of a K5 blazer to retain the drivetrain from it and have the ability to be setup for a V8. We are looking for a more modern drivetrain for comfort, maintenance and upgrade options but aren't planning to do anything as awesome as you've done. We want to keep the original fenders and try to get 35's under it with D60's. Any info you can provide would be appreciated!

I'm so sorry for not getting back to you. Please visit oldwillysforum.com and see a regular there called pivnic. He has done to his truck probably exactly what you are looking for. He put the body on a chevy p/up and got all the modern conveniences of a modern truck with fuel injection but, with the Willys body, of course.
