2007 JK Unlimited Rubicon -- Feeler
Ok, bullet bitting time. I've been holding off selling my jeep for a while now (almost a year) and i'm finally at the point where i REALLY need to get rid of it. So this is a feeler to see if i'm off my wagon, in the ball park, and also to get some feed back.
so first the specs... in no particular order...
One Owner
49000 miles with oil changes every 3000
new brakes
new stock BFG tires
new wheels
6 disc DVD-MP3 player with SAT radio
Softtop
Auto
tinted windows
power option (power locks, windows, etc)
cruise control
A/C
2.5" Teraflex BB
Two (2) KC 100watt long range lights on bumper
Rear rollbar handles
window storage tube
extended warrenty to 75,000 miles which includes rental
and more...
And while it does have a crack in the windsheild now, it will be replaced before being sold. I'm not selling it without that being fixed so no worries there i think.
is asking $24,000 for it too much? too little?
also, it does have a number of very small, light scratches from all the off roading, mostly around the rock rail area and low on the doors. will this really matter that much or should i get them taken care of? they are just light scratches. a body shop took a look at it a while back and said that none of them even make it to the paint, that its mostly all clear coat and that a really good buff job would remove 99% of them and a clear coat repair would take care of all of them. i figure since its a jeep, it shouldn't matter too much right?
And to add to that, it has NO DENTS at all. The one dent it got off roading from me sliding into a tree was on the corner of the plastic bumper. I've gotten a new bumper for it already, so it doesnt matter. but the rest of the body has no dents in it. and there are no chip marks at all.
Its been a great vehicle and i love it to death, but i just cant aford it right now. its keeping me out of college right now. once its gone, i can get back into school and finish my degree (2 years late tho). Maybe when i'm better off, i can get another one, but till then, this one needs to go.
And if anyone is asking, when i brought it, i was in a much better finanical situation and was able to aford it with no problem. but due to cuts in my income, i can no longer handle it. i made the first mistake of dropping out of school to keep it. a mistake i want to fix asap.
but here's what it looks like for anyone that wants to see it.

since you asked, i think 24,000 is on the high side. im basing that on others that i have seen with more mods/less miles/newer/etc... for the same price or less. price is all relative, though, and you might get 24,000 for it. good luck with the sale, if you do decide to let it go!
hmmm...
guess i didn't think it was overpriced cause KBB says that a Wrangler with my specs in "Excellent" condition was worth $25,640 in a private party sale and a one in "Good" condition is worth $24,340. Mine's not in excellent shape because it does have a few marks in the paint and the skids are dented a bit, stuff like that. but it fits in the "good" mark very well.
Figured with KBB saying its worth $24k+ then asking $24 wouldn't be a bad thing, plus i can't sell it for less then $23k.
