The Rubicon has a stronger transfer case, with a lower low range, front and rear Dana 44 axles and lower gears. It's factory-loaded with push-button sway-bar disconnects and front & rear locking differentials.

Why the Soft Top? I've had both. For me, the convenience of the Sunrider Soft Top is unmistakably better. From fully closed to Sunrider is about 30 seconds, and to full-out convertible in about 5 minutes. And when the weather goes south (or the mud starts flying), it doesn t take much longer to put it back together. Anyone who's gotten caught in the rain without the freedom tops knows how much different that is.
