1995 YJ vacuum hose help!
I just bought a 1995 YJ about 6 months ago. $1200 at my local Jeep dealership and they tell me my 4WD isn't engaging because I'm shifting wrong. I didn't think so, so I took it to a family friend that had a 94. We opened the hood and he immediately pointed out my vacuum hoses had been cut and taped over. It looks like two are coming from the actuator and one is coming from the transfer case. I'm assuming the one from the transfer case and one of the actuator ones connect, but that leaves one that has no where to go and I can't find another cut hose. I'm knew to jeepdom and just want to go play in some mud asap! Suggestions..?
Might be an early build YJ. Some late build 95 YJ's had TJ parts. The vacuum hoses at the TC switch can leak over time. Previous posted diagram looks correct. There is a way to use bicycle parts to manually engage the shift collar on the front axle. This would eliminate vacuum leaks.
